INTRODUCTION
Welcome to LADU ("we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, www.ladu.co, and all related services, including design, permitting, and construction of accessory dwelling units (ADUs) (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Services.
SERVICES DESCRIPTION
LADU provides design, permitting, and construction services for accessory dwelling units (ADUs) in Los Angeles County, California. We may also assist customers in finding and securing financing through our financing partners.
YOUR ACCOUNT
To access certain features of the Services, you may need to register for an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
PAYMENT TERMS
Design and Permitting Deposit
A $1,000 deposit is required to initiate design and permitting services. This deposit is non-refundable once design work has commenced.
Payment Schedule
The payment schedule for the remainder of the project will be outlined in your construction agreement. All payments must be made according to the terms specified in your agreement.
COMMUNICATIONS
Email Communications
By providing your email address, you consent to receive communications from us via email, including but not limited to project updates, invoices, and marketing materials.
Text Message Communications
By providing your phone number, you consent to receive occasional text messages from us related to:
- Responses to your inquiries
- Appointment confirmations and reminders
- Project updates and notifications
- Service-related announcements
You can opt out of text message communications at any time by replying "STOP" to any text message from us or by contacting us. Standard message and data rates may apply to text messages. You are responsible for any fees charged by your mobile carrier for these services.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Our Content
All content on our website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of LADU or its content suppliers and is protected by United States and international copyright laws.
Your Content
By submitting any content to us, including but not limited to photographs of your property, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, and fully sublicensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, and display such content throughout the world in any media for any purpose.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LADU shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:
- Your use or inability to use the Services
- Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers and/or any personal information stored therein
- Any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from the Services
- Any bugs, viruses, trojan horses, or the like that may be transmitted to or through the Services
INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless LADU, its officers, directors, employees, and agents, from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs or debt, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees) arising from your use of and access to the Services.
TERMINATION
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Services immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach these Terms.
GOVERNING LAW
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of California without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You agree to submit to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located within Los Angeles County, California.
CHANGES TO TERMS
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of these Terms.

DISPUTE RESOLUTION
Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Services shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Los Angeles, California, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
SEVERABILITY
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms will otherwise remain in full force and effect.
ENTIRE AGREEMENT
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and LADU regarding the Services and supersede all prior and contemporaneous agreements, representations, and understandings between you and LADU. By using our Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
